We visited this restaurant last night for the dinner buffet. The food was good, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We especially enjoyed the live porotta and appam station, which they made fresh on request. However, there are some areas that need improvement. There is no wheelchair access, which also made it difficult to bring in a baby stroller. The men’s washroom was not well maintained, and the parking area has very limited slots. Also, the buffet did not include any drinks, which was a little disappointing. Overall, the food and service were nice, but the facilities and cleanliness could definitely be improved.
We tried their Mappila choru and Kizhi biriyani yesterday. Mappila choru was just okay in taste and quantity. Kizhi biriyani however, came with a greater quantity and good taste. Surprisingly, there was no one else at the restaurant when we dined there!
We had quite disappointment with our recent experience at this restaurant. We ordered Masala Dosa and they mentionedit will take 20 to 25mins, which was okay. But the food served to us seemed old and not freshly prepared and the quantity was noticeably less than expected. We requested to talk to the Chef and he mentioned "we only serve one spoon of 'Masala'for Masala Dosa". Then we asked about the freshness of that Masala which he later admitted and said "Masala was made by noon". Wouldn't recommend unless there are improvements. If anyone is going there, please notice about the food freshness.
All the good Malayali restaurants were crowded and sold out of pazhampori, so I tried this one, it was empty (for a reason). Big mistake. I paid $10 for something oily, undercooked, and tasting like it was fried in old oil. It was so sticky, it felt like glue on my hands, dripping with oil. Really disappointed. If they can’t maintain basic quality, they shouldn’t be running a restaurant. Not recommended at all. Other Malayali places are way better.
